Sean Brennan works in the areas of constitutional law and Aboriginal legal issues. He co-edited Native Title From Mabo to Akiba: A Vehicle for Change and Empowerment? (Federation Press, 2015) and is a co-author of Blackshield and Williams Australian Constitutional Law and Theory (Federation Press, 8th ed, 2024). He was formerly Director of the Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law (2014-2019) and remains Director of its Indigenous Legal Issues Project. In 2016-17 he was a member of the pro bono legal team that supported the Regional Dialogues and First Nations Constitutional Convention, the process which culminated in the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
