Nicholas Petrie is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, where he is a Gates Cambridge Scholar. His research primarily focuses on fundamental common law rights in Australia. He has worked as a lawyer for the Government Legal Department in London, the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency in Darwin and MinterEllison in Melbourne.
