Mikaela Smith is a fourth year student at the University of Technology Sydney with a passion for constitutional and administrative law, and will be writing an honours thesis in her final year of study. Mikaela was also awarded the UTS Law Dean’s Merit List Award last year. Mikaela works as a paralegal at a small personal injury law firm, Martin Bell & Co Solicitors, as well being a legal assistant at Michael McCrudden Solicitors, working in immigration and refugee law. Mikaela has been involved in multiple mooting competitions both within UTS and representing UTS in intervarsity moots, including the Sir Harry Gibbs Constitutional Law Moot. She has also been a judge for a number of moot competitions, and is involved with the UTS Brennan Justice and Leadership Program and the UTS Law High Achievers Mentoring Program.
