Katherine Biber is a legal scholar, historian and criminologist, and Professor of Law at the University of Technology Sydney. She is author of In Crime’s Archive: The Cultural Afterlife of Evidence (Routledge, 2019) and Captive Images: Race, Crime, Photography (Routledge, 2004). She is co-editor of Evidence and the Archive (with Trish Luker, Routledge, 2017), The Lindy Chamberlain Case (with Michelle Arrow and Deborah Staines, ASP, 2009) and Playing the Man (with Tom Sear and Dave Trudinger, Pluto Press, 1999). She is co-editor of the journal Crime, Media, Culture. She is currently writing a legal history of Jimmy Governor.
