Conor Gearty is Professor of Human Rights Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a barrister at Matrix Chambers. The author of many books and articles on human rights, civil liberties and terrorism his latest volume is On Fantasy Island. Britain, Strasbourg and Human Rights, published by Oxford University Press in September 2016. He has been a visiting professor at UNSW law in January and February 2017.
