Anita Stuhmcke is a Professor and Associate Dean Research in the Law Faculty at the University of Technology Sydney. Her research on Ombudsman centres the operation of the institution as an instrument of democratic accountability in terms of the citizen, industry, consumer, government agencies and the wider legal system. Anita has published widely with her research impacting the development of law and policy. She has actively participated in developing a global network of ‘Ombudsman scholars’. Anita’s latest addition to this growing body of international Ombudsman scholarship is a forthcoming edited collection to be published by Hart - The Ombudsman in the Modern State (edited by Anita Stuhmcke and Professor Matthew Groves).
