A J Brown is Professor of Public Policy and Law, and program leader, public integrity and anti-corruption in the Centre for Governance & Public Policy at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. He is also a board member of Transparency International Australia, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law, and member of the International Whistleblowing Research Network. Formerly a senior investigation officer with Australia’s Commonwealth Ombudsman, State ministerial policy advisor, and Associate to Justice Tony Fitzgerald AC (President, Queensland Court of Appeal), he was lead author of Australia's first national integrity system assessment, and currently leads two Australian Research Council Linkage Projects: Whistling While They Work 2, and Strengthening Australia’s National Integrity System, with support from many of Australia's integrity and anti-corruption agencies at federal and state level.
